Charles Browning was born in Indianapolis, Indiana. He has always been influenced and inspired by the history, culture, politics and artistry of the Harlem Renaissance and many of the artists who lived in Harlem while a high school student at Broad Ripple High School. Charles is a working actor and educator based in New York City.  He is a member of Actors Equity Association, Screen Actors Guild, and American Federation of Television and Radio Actors. 
The foundation he received as young child from his mother and grandmother greatly influenced his structure as a man. His dream as a young person was always to have a career as an actor and to be able to inspire and encourage young inner city youth like himself to reach for greatness and strive for higher heights than their surroundings. He knows that opportunity and perseverance are some of the catalysts that breed the thing many call luck or "one's big break." 
 
He received his training from DePaul University, BFA ;Columbia University, MFA and Oxford University:British American Drama Academy(certificate) training with many of the best of the world in acting technique, voice and speech, and movement.  He is the recipient of the Sarah Siddon Society Scholarship, Silver Medalist in Theater NAACP Act-So Award, Donna Reed Foundation Finalist, and McDonald's Black History Maker of Tomorrow.
 
He has worked as an Arts Education Consultant/Teacher at  companies such as New York City Board of Education, Columbia University:High School Summer Institute, Center For Talented Youth, Theater Development Fund,  Public Theatre: Shakespeare Lab,  Ford Foundation: Brown vs Board of Education Project. In addition, Charles has worked in corporate America for companies such as Millennium Partners, Park Hyatt, Walker International Communications Group, KPMG, and Gansevoort Hotel.
 
Charles is an Actor, Educator, Singer, Producer, Director and Arts Education Consultant.
